- Aligning
objects exactly on the sheet of music
-
Objects such as freeform text,
plain text, rectangle, circle/ellipse and line can be exactly
positioned horizontally and
vertically with this script. The entries are made in millimeters.
-
Horizontal
settings:
-
Left and the
right aligned, centered, absolute X ( = from left edge of the print
space) and relative X ( = from attachment point at note, rest or
explicit bar line).
-
A
simple text is aligned according the selection.
- Vertical
settings:
-
Top
edge, bottom edge
of
the print space,
absolute Y ( = from top edge) and relative Y ( = from
attachment point at note, rest or explicit bar line).
-
Above
or
below the
edge (respectively
the attachment point).
-
N.B.:
lower number
→ higher
position,
number can also be negative.
- Object
selection:
-
The
script successively displays
all the objects present on a staff from the cursor position.
-
If there
is no object after the cursor, a switch is made to the page objects.
-
Switching
to page objects is also possible by
selecting
‘Edit page
objects’.
-
If
the script does not find an object to edit, no dialogue
appears.
- Remarks:
-
For
page
objects, the edge
of
the print space
applies
as
boundary.
For objects
within the staff, the system edge applies as such.
-
For geometric objects the width (W)
and the height (H) can be changed, for freeform texts the width (W).
-
If
the left
indentation is
‘automatic’ on a staff, the script cannot determine the
exact horizontal position and a corresponding message appears.
