This
Script can change the format of chord descriptions throughout the
score and enter chords over lyrics. The following settings are
possible:

program tries to recognize
Chord1 and
Chord2. If
not recognized,
they
are treated as text.

Note:

If
the marking extends over more than one system, then all notes in
these systems are considered.

If
more than one voice are marked in a system, then only the highest
voice is considered.
-
If
a range is marked, then only notes within the range are considered.
If no notes are marked, then the action applies to the note to the
right of the cursor.

Note:
chord symbols in RTF-Format (free form text), guitar symbols or
graphics are not supported and can be wrongly converted.

Entering
chords over lyrics:
-
Apply
the way of writing notes for the desired chord type (German H resp.
B = international B resp. Bes or Bb)
-
Minor
is entered with a smaller letter c or with Cm.
-
Text
behind a space is heightened. Hint: to enter a space, for example ‘C
7’, first enter ‘C7’ and then put a space between them.
-
Text
after ‘/’ is lowered.
-
Format
is taken from the dialogue window whether or not the check box is
set.
-
Only
the first verse of lyrics is considered.
-
Chords
are handled throughout the score.
-
Chords
in the lyrics are not deleted.
-
Underlined
chords, e.g. for third basses, are created with a ‘_’ prefix
like ‘_D’. Hint: first enter ‘D’ and then ‘_’.
-
When
lyrics are already existing a new first stanza can be inserted and
later on be deleted again.
-
- Transferring
chords to lyrics:

This
function is intended to change existing chords in text fields.
-
The
chord symbol is taken over in the first lyric verse.
-
Thereafter
the chords can be edited or completed and again be transferred from
the lyrics.
